An industrial designer, nature lover and motorcycle cross-country enthusiast one day decided to develop an idea: To make a sturdy but light carriage for cross-country travel.
The existing style of cart had remained unchanged for centuries. The main problem being excess weight. A good design together with modern materials and years of experimentation resulted in a very strong but light (65kg) carriage even with the extra equipment.
Once the high specification was achieved he decided to market the product to order for others to share the experience.
New light horse-drawn carriage.

Comfort
The custom made bucket seats are very supportive to avoid tiredness. You can adjust the tilt and height and they are complimented by adjustable suspension for the passenger.

Stability
Because of the design (centre of gravity over the axle)there is very little weight transferred to the horse via the shafts.
The quarter-elliptic leaf springs give long suspension travel and are assisted by a stability bar. This improved system gives an astonishing performance, at full gallop as well as on the most uneven terrain.
Each leaf spring has three different positions to allow for surface requirements. The height can be adjusted to suit the horse.

Practicality
As a result of experience the Coche de Caballos Navarro (Navarro´s horse carriage), has unique details for it’s market:
1) It can be dismantled in minutes with only one spanner.
2) At the client request the carriage can also be equiped with hidraulick disc brakes, very convinient for training track horses. It can be converted in a four wheel carriage capable to carry up to five people, at your convenience . It can be done by a simple tow-bar
3) The wheels can be removed with axle in place.
4) The wheels and springs are protected from becoming stuck through contact with rocks or logs by a tube.
5) He has streamlined his design to avoid any protrusions which could injure either riders or horse.
6) When driven solo the seat can be centralised to optimise weight distribution.

Finish
It has been designed and constructed using the highest quality materials available:
Each of the two stainless steel spars of the chassis are made out of a single piece, they are joined together by two laminated aluminium sheets held together by stainless allen bolts. As all the bolts are the same size only one key is needed to assemble.
Self locking nuts.
Treated Iroko hardwood. Motorcycle trial bike wheels, the spoked wheels give a degree of rebound without deforming.
The leaf springs are formed from a new material consisting of Kevlar fibres immersed in a poliester mass to create a material with an elastic limit higher than steel and with a density five times smaller. The axle is of chrome-molybdenum construction.
Adventure
estimonial from an owner: An unforgettable trip starting in El Espinar, Segovia, we went through La Garganta del Rio Moros towards Madrid province via the top of El Cerro Malejo mountain(1774m).As the trunk was full of provisions for the journey we enjoyed ourselves with a picnic on the grass with the marvellous landscape and Cercedilla at our feet. After lunch we continued towards Fuenfria mountain pass (1796m) and back over the Marichiva mountains (1753m) where our mare still felt fresh enough to put on a strong trot.
Another customer who takes part keenly in the “Rocio” (very famous and difficult day out to visit the sanctuary of Virgen del Rocio, where hundreds of wagons pulled by horses and oxen through the “Coto de Doñana” in Huelva) said that while other wagons had to be abandoned in the soft sands his cart did the whole trip without mishap. This cart has a wider axle to cope with the deep Rocio ruts.
